eInvoicing – making things better for businesses

Last updated 10 August 2023

As businesses look for ways to combat rising costs, streamline business processes, tackle cyber security, and minimise their carbon footprint, many are turning to eInvoicing.

We recently interviewedExternal LinkSupermarket retailer Woolworths about their eInvoicing experience and how eInvoicing benefits them and their trading partners.

The interview reveals how eInvoicing has helped Woolworths to achieve greater automation and efficiency and speed up supplier payments.

'We identified the value proposition pretty early,' says Rob Fellowes, Woolworths' Finance Shared Services Transactions Controller.

'It was about allowing those suppliers to effectively issue invoices to us in that truly electronic way.'

We also spoke with Woolworths about how the shift to eInvoicing has benefited their small business suppliers, with the ability for any eInvoicing-enabled business to easily transact with them.

eInvoicing also offers many additional benefits, such as improved security protecting businesses from false billing and payment redirection scams. It also lowers your carbon footprint by minimising paper and energy use and physical storage requirements.

The Woolworths adoption journey will help other businesses learn how they can take advantage of everything that eInvoicing has to offer.
