Privacy notice – Losses schedule

Losses schedule privacy notice.

We are authorised by the Taxation Administration Act 1953 to request tax file numbers (TFNs). It is not an offence not to provide TFNs but if you don't there may be a delay processing this form.

We collect some personal information about you because you signed the Losses schedule 2021 form. That information will allow us to check that you have the authority to complete the form and to contact you if we need more information.

Where authorised by law, we may give this information to other government departments and agencies, including:

  • Services Australia
  • Australian Bureau of Statistics
  • Law Enforcement Agencies.

We also provide taxpayer information to treaty partners overseas under international tax agreements.

Our privacy policy contains important information about your privacy, including information about how you can access and seek correction of information we hold about you, how you may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and how the ATO will deal with any privacy complaint.
