About the Pillar Two Global and Domestic Minimum Tax Working Group
The purpose of this working group is to discuss and seek feedback on administrative aspects of implementation of the Pillar Two measure. The working group will focus on:
- how multinational entities (MNEs) potentially in scope are preparing to comply with new obligations under the global and domestic minimum tax in Australia
- the resources, systems, and processes MNEs are considering or may already have in place in response to the announced measure, including system builds and services provided by software designers
- input on the design of new Australian tax returns (Australian IIR and UTPR Tax Return (AIUTR) and Domestic Minimum Tax Return (DMTR)) complying with domestic requirements for an approved form to enable assessment and collection of Top-up Tax
- ways in which we can support implementation on
- general and specific website guidance and information
- public advice and guidance
- co-designing client engagement approaches to administer the measure
- other relevant topics, including providing updates where possible on OECD progress of further documentation such as administrative guidance.
