Consultation approach and communications
An update on communications and engagement activities ahead of Payday Super commencement was provided, including recent updates to web content, publication of supporting guidance materials and the release of an updated communications toolkit.
Technical working group
All funds have transitioned to better error messaging and are ready to accept fast payments through New Payments Platform from 1 July 2026. Fourteen funds completed testing for SuperStream Contributions v3 ahead of the 1 July 2026 commencement date, with these funds representing approximately 55% of member accounts and will be ready to process SuperStream Contributions v3 messages, including receiving member verification requests.
The ATO confirmed that payments received by the Small Business Superannuation Clearing House on or after 1 July 2026 will not be processed. Communications, support arrangements, and frontline readiness activities have been implemented to support affected employers.
Single Touch Payroll testing for most digital service providers has been completed with positive early results.
Consultation on software-enabled voluntary disclosure solutions is continuing.
Public guidance
Feedback from various stakeholder forums on the 4 draft Law Companion Rulings has been reviewed and incorporated into the final rulings. The final rulings are currently being progressed through the approval process and compendiums will be published with the final rulings outlining stakeholder feedback, and the ATO's responses.
