Payday Super

Industry was invited to discuss fund readiness for Payday Super. They outlined the challenges around updating fund operating models, and implementation for 1 July 2026.

Digital service provider engagement strategy

An overview of the digital service provider (DSP) engagement strategy for Payday Super was provided. The strategy acknowledges employers and funds rely heavily on DSPs to deliver updated systems for Payday Super, including sufficient rollout time and support for employers.

SuperStream technical working group

Technical artefacts and supporting materials for SuperStream have been finalised and the full suite is available on the contributions V3 page of the ATO Software Developers website. The focus for early 2026 will shift to understanding fund readiness, coordinating carve-out plans, and commencing testing to support implementation.

Single Touch Payroll technical working group

First draft of changes to the Business Implementation Guide and supporting position papers have been shared with the working group. Feedback is currently being received and will be incorporated before final publication.

Small Business Superannuation Clearing House transition working group

Additional communication options are being explored to ensure a broader reach.

Members were thanked for their participation in consultation and engagement during the 2025 year and the significant volume of activity that has occurred was noted.
