We've released our Vulnerability Framework. The framework is a principle-based guide that outlines how we'll improve the support we provide to people experiencing vulnerability when they interact with us.
This framework was developed through extensive public consultation and incorporates input from individuals, tax professionals, partners and community advocates. We thank everyone who contributed to shaping this important work.
Anyone, including employees, clients, or your business partners can experience vulnerability at any time. The framework sets out how we'll act with empathy, communicate clearly and connect people with the right support. It also provides transparency about how we’ll apply these principles in practice, not just in policy.
We’ve also published new web content to help people understand what support is available. This includes:
- the full framework and an easier to read summary
- examples and information about current support options
- information about how we're implementing the framework and building our capability.
We encourage businesses and organisations to share this information with staff, clients and partners who may be experiencing vulnerability. Whether through internal communications, HR teams or client-facing channels, helping people access the right support can make a meaningful difference.
Implementation of the framework will take time and will continue to evolve. We’re committed to ongoing engagement throughout this process.
