If your NFP is non-charitable, has an active Australian business number (ABN) and self-assesses as income tax exempt, you must lodge your NFP self-review return. The return notifies us of your NFP's eligibility to self-asses as income tax exempt.
The first NFP self-review return is for the 2023–24 income year and is due by 31 March 2025.
There are several lodgment options. If your NFP already has access to Online services for business, you can lodge your NFP self-review return today. It is the quickest way to lodge.
If you can't lodge online, phone the self-help phone service on 13 72 26, and it should only take about 10 minutes. A registered tax agent can also lodge on your behalf through Online services for agents.
