Holiday closure
Over the Christmas and New Year holiday period, the ATO will be closed from noon AEDT Wednesday 24 December 2025, until we re-open 8:30 am AEDT Friday 2 January 2026.
As staff are on leave during this period, phone support services (including the NFP advice line) and customer response on our social media pages will be unavailable.
System availability
ATO online services and the ATO website will be available with no planned outages or system maintenance during the closure. You'll still be able to lodge and report.
Keep in mind we won't process and display the records or lodgments until after 2 January. You can also still make payments during the closure, but they won’t be visible until our systems come back online.
To check if our online services are experiencing any unexpected or unplanned performance issues, you can refer to our dashboards to see the current system status.
