Tax Help is a free service which helps people earning $60,000 a year or less lodge their tax returns online.
Volunteers can help clients online or by phone; or face-to-face at Tax Help centres nationwide. You don’t need any special experience to become a Tax Help volunteer. We provide training and support to get you started.
Your spare time can make a significant difference. Through this rewarding experience, you'll learn new skills, build networks and give back to your community.
You're eligible to become a Tax Help volunteer if you:
- are at least 18 years old
- have lived in Australia permanently for the past 2 years
- pass a pre-engagement check (which includes a police records check)
- can guide people to lodge their tax online
- can complete the training online.
