Who can register for Public CBC reporting
All Public country-by-country (CBC) reporting parent entities (whether located overseas or in Australia) can register with the ATO.
Registration allows for more efficient interactions with us, including:
- nominating an authorised representative for your entity
- providing your Public CBC report to us
- requesting an extension of time to provide your Public CBC report
- requesting an exemption from reporting obligations.
When to use the form
Public CBC reporting parents are encouraged to register at least 4 weeks before the date they intend to engage with us on a Public CBC matter.
Getting the registration form
The form is a fillable PDF file which you need to fill out on-screen. Do not print the form and complete it by hand.
You must complete the form in English.
To access the form, you must save it to your desktop computer or laptop which has the latest version of Adobe Acrobat installed.
To download and complete the form:
- Select the following link: Public country-by-country registration form (NAT 75645, PDF, 290KB)This link will download a file.
- Open the saved form with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- If prompted, select Enable all features or enable JavaScript (near the top of the screen) so the form functions correctly.
- Complete the form by typing directly into the PDF fields.
- Save the completed form in PDF format (.pdf). Do not use 'Print', 'Print to PDF', 'Save as PDF', or 'Export to PDF'.
Make sure you keep a copy of the completed form and any attachments for your own records.

Lodging the form
Email your completed Public country-by-country registration form (NAT 75645) to PublicCBCreports@ato.gov.au.
When completing your registration form, ensure you are providing a valid email address in Section A: Question 7. We will use this email address for the following correspondence:
- You will receive an acknowledgement email once we receive your registration form.
- After we have successfully processed your registration, you will receive a confirmation email. This may take up to 10 working days.
- If there are any errors with your registration form, we will contact you for further information or ask that you relodge.
