  • The JobKeeper Payment scheme finished on 28 March 2021. The JobKeeper Payment scheme has been amended so we can make a JobKeeper Payment to some entities in limited circumstances after 31 March 2022.

    Step 1: Enrol for the JobKeeper payment

    Key points:

    • You only need to enrol once.
    • Log in to the Business PortalExternal Link using myGovID.
    • View the COVID-19 screen and select Step 1 Enrol business for JobKeeper wage subsidies.
    • Fill in the required information which is listed below.

    Important: you cannot save the form while you are working on it. You cannot edit it once it is submitted. This means it is important to read the instructions carefully to make sure you have all the information you need.

    Decline in turnover

    If you are enrolling in JobKeeper for fortnights from 28 September 2020, you will need to satisfy two decline in turnover tests. However, if you satisfy the actual decline in turnover test you will also satisfy the original decline in turnover test. Unless you are a University that is a Table A Provider (see Turnover test for Universities).

    In completing the enrolment form you can answer the questions based on your satisfaction of the actual decline in turnover test for the:

    • September 2020 quarter if enrolling for the first time for JobKeeper extension 1 – 28 September 2020 to 3 January 2021
    • December 2020 quarter if enrolling for the first time for JobKeeper extension 2 – 4 January 2021 to 28 March 2021
    Completing the questions

    Select Yes if your business experienced a decline in turnover between March and December 2020 of at least:

    • 30% if your turnover is $1 billion or less
    • 50% if your turnover is more than $1 billion
    • 15% if you are an ACNC-registered charity other than a school or university.

    The decline in turnover percentage relevant to your organisation is also applicable for the actual decline in turnover test for each JobKeeper extension.

    Select the month in which your business first experienced a decline in turnover of the relevant percentage.

    • For example, if you satisfied the decline in turnover test for the September 2020 quarter, select July (first month of that quarter).

    Enter the employing entity’s financial institution and contact details for receiving JobKeeper payments.
