Exporting bookmarks with Chrome
- Select the Chrome menu (3 vertical dots or bars on the top right corner).
- Select ‘Bookmarks’, then ‘Bookmark manager’.
- In the manager, select the ‘Organise’ menu.
- Select ‘Export bookmarks’.
Chrome will export your bookmarks as an HTML file, which you can then import into another browser.
Exporting bookmarks with Firefox
- Hold down 'Ctrl + Shift + B' on your keyboard to bring up ‘Library’.
- Select 'Import and backup' from the top and choose 'Export bookmarks to HTML'.
- In the ‘Export bookmarks file’ window that opens, choose a location to save the file, which is named bookmarks.html by default. The desktop is usually a good location, but any place that is easy to remember will work.
- Select the ‘Save’ button.
Your bookmarks are now successfully exported from Firefox. The bookmarks HTML file you saved is now ready to be imported into another web browser.
