When you update primary and secondary contacts for each Unique Superannuation Identifier (USI) you should follow the APRA regulated funds FIA verification process. For fast and secure updates to your bank account, confirm the accuracy of the FIA contact list before lodging a request. You can submit the updates using our Contact information input template (XLS, 24KB) This link will download a file through Online services for business.
The Fund Verification Service (FVS) will confirm the receipt of updates.
A second verification step ensures accuracy, reducing risks of unauthorised changes. Each USI should have an authorised FIA verification contact who meets our standards:
- the contact must be an individual, not a call centre or help desk
- this person should be separate from the FVS contact.
It is recommended that you review your FIA contact list every six months to keep it accurate and up to date. By following the process, you help ensure all updates to FIA details are secure and authorised, protecting the integrity of your fund's information.
If you require assistance, email SPR Enabling Services.
