If you use Digital ID to access government online services, you may notice that the Australian Government’s Digital ID app is now called myID. It has a new name and look, but you still use it in the same way to securely access a range of government online services, such as ATO Online services.
You’ll also notice the Super Enquiry Service (SES)External Link login page looks different. Always access SES by directly typing the URL into a browser.
With myID, you still have:
- your same details: there’s no need to set up a new myID. Your login details (including email address) and identity strength remain the same
- continued use: the existing app should have automatically updated on your smart device, or you can manually update it from the App Store or Google Play
- access to services: you can use myID to securely access a range of government online services.
Watch out for scammers seeking to take advantage of the name change. There’s no need to set up a new myID or reconfirm your details. If you've been asked to do this in a message, email or by visiting a website, it’s a scam.
