Updates to the login process for online services

This is part of our commitment to delivering an efficient, stronger, and more secure experience.

Last updated 31 March 2025

Our services now use the Australian Government Digital ID System to verify your ID when you use your Digital ID to access:

  • Departing Australia Superannuation Payments (DASP) for Super funds
  • Superannuation Enquiry Services
  • Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM)
  • Access Manager.

This means your personal information is more secure and better safeguarded and continues to be protected by law.

What to expect

The next time you use your Digital ID, such as myID, to log in, you'll be prompted with new screens:

  1. Digital ID provider selection: Choose your preferred Digital ID provider (e.g. myID).
  2. Consent for information sharing: Provide consent for your information to be shared with the online service (e.g. RAM).

These screens may look familiar if you've used your Digital ID to access other government services.

For faster login, you can select 'Remember my choice' and 'Yes, remember my consent'. However, this is not recommended if you use a shared device.

For secure access, always log in directly through the ATO and RAM websites. To find out more about Australia's Digital ID System, see digitalidsystem.gov.auExternal Link.

For assistance accessing our services, see Accessing online services with Digital ID and RAM.
