Free up some of your valuable time by encouraging your clients to use the ATO app this tax time.
Using the ATO app, your clients can access important tax information, which will mean they can come to you more prepared. Some things your clients can use the app for include:
- viewing when lodgments and payments are due
- checking available pre-fill information
- capturing and storing their receipts with the myDeductions tool which they can share with you via email or upload the data to be made available through the prefill report in Online services for agents or practitioner lodgment service (PLS)
- viewing a summary of their accounts including income tax and activity statements – quickly access transactions, payment plan details and make payments in ATO online
- checking their personal and business details and seamlessly access ATO online to make updates
- viewing their superannuation information and items that may need attention or action
- checking your details using the ‘Registered agent details’ feature.
After you have lodged your clients' returns, free up some of your time by letting them know they can track the progress of their return via the app.
