Things to look out for in your clients' upcoming BAS

Review your clients with multiple entities to help ensure they're meeting all their related BAS obligations.

Published 2 October 2026

As your clients prepare for their upcoming business activity statement (BAS) lodgments, now is the time to ensure their records are in order and up to date.

When managing large client groups, inactive entities can easily be overlooked. If a BAS has been issued, a lodgment obligation remains, even if there has been no business activity during the month or quarter. Reviewing all entities within your clients' group will help ensure they meet their BAS obligations and reduce the risk of penalties for missed lodgments.

Streamline the work and time you spend on BAS lodgments for your clients by identifying entities with no business activity and lodging a nil BAS early, when you determine a lodgment is not required.
