About the DPSG
The DPSG is one of the stewardship groups operated by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), as a means of improving client experience and the administration of Australia’s tax, super and registry systems.
The DPSG brings together the ATO and leaders from across the digital ecosystem to consider strategic and systemic issues that influence how taxpayers, intermediaries and businesses interact with the tax, super and registry systems through digital products, platforms and services.
- The DPSG considers how digital partners and the products, platforms and services they provide influence the operation and performance of the tax, super and registry systems by identifying opportunities to improve the tax, super and registry systems to make it easier to get things right and hard not to, through an understanding of how digital partners and platforms shape system outcomes.
- Gaining insights into issues faced by digital partners and platforms to improve future processes and system design.
- Supporting a more seamless taxpayer experience by improving how obligations, reporting and interactions are embedded within digital tools, platforms and business processes.
- Identifying risks, dependencies and opportunities arising from digital environments and how they interact with ATO systems.
- Supporting coordination of system changes where effective implementation relies on digital partners and platforms.
