Website accessibility

Our website aims to meet Level AA success criteria from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2External Link.

We acknowledge there are some known issues that we are currently addressing, which may impact accessibility. You can find out more about using our website.

Assistive technologies

Our website is optimised to use assistive technologies like screen readers, magnifiers, navigation switches and speech recognition software.

Browsers and devices

Our website works with modern web browsers. It uses responsive web design that adjusts to fit the size and type of device you use, for example, smartphone, tablet or desktop.

HTML first

We provide content in HTML format whenever possible.

Some content is only available in Portable Document Format (PDF). We know this can cause problems for some users.

Call services for hearing or speech/communication difficulties

If you are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech/communication difficulty you can contact us through the National Relay ServiceExternal Link (NRS), as follows:

  1. Contact the NRS through your preferred NRS call channel, detailed in NRS call numbers and linksExternal Link.
  2. Provide the NRS with the ATO phone number you want to call.

Indigenous helpline

The Indigenous helpline is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to get help with their tax and super.

You can phone us on 13 10 30 between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).

Information in your language

If you prefer to speak with us in a language other than English, you can phone the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National).

This free service provides an interpreter in one of these available languagesExternal Link. The service will phone us with an interpreter so we can help with your query.
