myTax built-in tools

myTax has built-in tools that make it easier for you to complete your tax return, including the:


  • Capital gains tax (CGT) record keeping tool
  • Depreciation and capital allowances tool
  • Defined benefit income cap tool
  • Personal services income (PSI) decision tool

These tools then use the information you entered to pre-fill parts of your current and future tax returns.

The ATO app's myDeductions tool makes it easier and more convenient to keep records in one place, including photos of your receipts and invoices.
