myTax built-in tools

myTax has built-in tools that make it easier for you to complete your tax return, including the:

  • Depreciation and capital allowances tool

These tools then use the information you entered to pre-fill parts of your current and future tax returns.

myTax refers to ATO calculators that make it easier for you to complete your tax return, including the:

  • Zone or overseas tax offset calculator
  • Are you a resident calculator
  • Home office expenses calculator

The ATO app's myDeductions tool

The ATO app's myDeductions tool helps you easily and conveniently keep all your tax deductions in one place, including photos of your receipts and invoices. If you work from home, you can now record your working from home (WFH) hours directly in the app.
