A summary of what we're aiming to achieve with our findings report for the Top 500 program.
The purpose of our Top 500 tax performance program for the 2023 findings report is to:
- provide an overview of the Top 500 program, including a profile of the Top 500 population and our observations about their approach towards engaging with the tax and superannuation systems
- update the community about the work undertaken in the Top 500 program
- communicate our observations and insights from our engagements with the Top 500 population and provide our findings in the context of the 4 areas of Justified trust
- provide insights into some of the common tax risks that we see in the Top 500 population
- outline changes we have made to the Top 500 program, including our tailored approach to engaging with this population and our guidance to help large private groups develop effective tax governance.
