    Registering for online services

In most cases, you'll need an Australian business number (ABN)External Link and an authenticated login service (such as AUSkey or Manage ABN Connections) to use our online services.

    AUSkey

An AUSkey is a secure login that identifies you when you use participating government online servicesExternal Link on behalf of a business. You can use an AUSkey to access services such as our Business Portal.

Each person in your business will need their own unique AUSkey to log in and use the portal.

By default, Administrators (Administrator AUSkey holders or connected myGov users with Administrator access) have unrestricted access to ATO online services such as the portals.

Standard users (Standard AUSkey holders or connected myGov users with Standard access) need permissions to be set for them to access the services within the portal. The Administrator in your business can set the permissions for your staff in Access Manager.

    Manage ABN Connections

Manage ABN Connections allows you to access government online business servicesExternal Link (such as the Business Portal or Access Manager) using your myGov login. It's a secure login alternative to AUSkey that can be used from any smart device.

You can use Manage ABN Connections if you already have a myGov account linked to the ATO, Centrelink or Medicare.

Note: The Tax Agent Portal and BAS Agent Portal are not currently able to be accessed using Manage ABN Connections.
