You can manage your business reporting and transactions at a time that is convenient for you. Our online services are quick, easy, tailored, and secure.

If you choose to use a registered tax or BAS agent they can manage your reporting and transaction obligations on your behalf through their preferred electronic channel. If you do this, you can still access our online services.

    Registering for online services

In most cases, you'll need an Australian business number (ABN) and an AUSkey to use our online services.

An ABN is a unique 11 digit number that identifies your business or organisation to the government and community. It's free to apply for an ABN through the Australian Business Register (ABR). If you are running a business you will need an ABN.

An AUSkey is a secure login that identifies you when you use participating government online services on behalf of a business. You can use an AUSkey to access our Business Portal.

Each person in your business will need their own unique AUSkey to log in and use the portal. To manage access and permissions for our online services you will need to use Access Manager.

An alternative to using an AUSkey is to use Manage ABN Connections. You can access government online services like the Business Portal, Access Manager and the ABR using your myGov login details.

If you connect your ABN to your myGov account, your myGov username and password become an alternative to AUSkey and can be used from any device.
