Preliminary
Clause 1 - Short title
1. This clause provides for the Bill to be cited as the Crimes Legislation Amendment (Penalty Unit) Act 2015 after its enactment.
Clause 2 - Commencement
2. This clause sets out when the various parts of the Bill are to commence.
3. Item 1 in the table provides that sections 1 and 2, which concern the formal aspects of the Bill, as well as anything in the Bill not elsewhere covered by the table, will commence on the day the Bill receives Royal Assent.
4. Item 2 in the table provides that Schedule 1 will commence on 31 July 2015.
Clause 3 - Schedules
5. This is a formal clause that enables the Schedule to amend Acts by including amendments under the title of the relevant Act.
