Who are the review parties?
55A(1)
The parties to an IC review (the review parties ) are as follows:
(a) the IC review applicant;
(b) the principal officer of the agency, or the Minister, to whom the request was made;
(c) an affected third party (if any) required to be notified of the IC review application under section 54P (requirement to notify affected third parties);
(d) a party to the proceeding under subsection (3).
Note:
For affected third party , see section 53C .
Application to become a review party
55A(2)
If an IC review application is made in relation to an IC reviewable decision, a person whose interests are affected by the IC reviewable decision may apply, in writing, to the Information Commissioner to be a review party.
55A(3)
The Information Commissioner may, by notice in writing, make a person who applies under subsection (2) an IC review part.
