Private Health Insurance Act 2007
The Minister may, by written notice, request a private health insurer to give the Minister, within the period specified in the notice, specified information about an application made by the insurer under section 66-8 or 66-10.
66-11(2)
The Minister may refuse to consider the application until the earlier of the following times: (a) the time when the insurer gives the Minister the specified information; (b) the end of the period specified in the notice.
66-11(3)
The Minister must have regard to any information provided by an insurer, in accordance with a notice under subsection (1), in deciding whether to approve or refuse to approve the application.
66-11(4)
If the insurer does not give the specified information within the period specified in the notice, the Minister may deal with the application on the basis of the information contained in the application.
66-11(5)
The Minister may give more than one notice under subsection (1) to an insurer in relation to an application made by the insurer.
