18   Subsection 3(1) (definition of nursing-home type patient )  
Repeal the definition, substitute:

nursing-home type patient
, in relation to a hospital, means a patient in the hospital who has been provided with accommodation and nursing care, as an end in itself, for a continuous period exceeding 35 days.
