Part 4   Provisions relating to the amendment of the National Occupational Respiratory Disease Registry Act 2023

17   Legal proceedings involving the Commonwealth Chief Medical Officer or Health Secretary

(1) If, immediately before the transition time, the Commonwealth Chief Medical Officer was a party to proceedings relating to the old NORDR Act that were pending in any court or tribunal, the Director-General of the CDC is substituted for the Commonwealth Chief Medical Officer as a party to the proceedings at and after that time.

(2) If, immediately before the transition time, the Health Secretary was a party to proceedings relating to the old NORDR Act that were pending in any court or tribunal, the Director-General of the CDC is substituted for the Health Secretary as a party to the proceedings at and after that time.
