Singaporean Agreement  

AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBLE TAXATION AND THE PREVENTION OF FISCAL EVASION WITH RESPECT TO TAXES ON INCOME  

ARTICLE 14  

1.    
Remuneration (other than pensions) paid by the Government of the Commonwealth or of any State of the Commonwealth to any individual for services rendered to that Government in the discharge of governmental functions shall be exempt from Singapore tax, except where the individual is resident in Singapore and is not an Australian citizen.

2.    
Remuneration (other than pensions) paid by the Government of Singapore to any individual for services rendered to that Government in the discharge of governmental functions shall be exempt from Australian tax, except where the individual is a resident of Australia and is not a Singapore citizen.

3.    
This Article shall not apply to any remuneration in respect of services rendered in connection with any trade or business carried on by a Government for purposes of profit.
