SECTION 42 (Repealed by 101 of 2006)  

42   Regulations  
The Governor-General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing all matters which by this Act are required or permitted to be prescribed, or which are necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act, and, in particular:


(a) providing for the making of refunds of charge for the purpose of relieving a manufacturer from payment of charge at a higher rate than that applicable under the Tobacco Charge Act (No. 1) 1955 where that manufacturer, having become liable to pay charge on tobacco leaf under the Tobacco Charge Act (No. 3) 1955 , sells that tobacco leaf to another manufacturer; and


(b) prescribing penalties not exceeding a fine of $500 for offences against the regulations.
