SCHEDULE 1ABA - INFRINGEMENT NOTICES

3   MEANING OF INFRINGEMENT OFFICER  

3(1)    
A person is an infringement officer for the purposes of this Schedule if:

(a) the person is an officer of Customs; and

(b) the CEO authorises the person to exercise the powers or perform the functions of an infringement officer under this Schedule.

3(2)    
A person who is an infringement officer for the purpose of exercising powers mentioned in subclause (1) is also an infringement officer for the purposes of:

(a) exercising other powers under this Schedule; or

(b) performing functions or duties under this Schedule;

that are incidental to the powers mentioned in subclause (1).
