Engaging with the Attorney-General and Leader of the Opposition
Before the Governor-General makes a prohibited hate group regulation specifying an organisation, the AFP Minister must: (a) obtain the Attorney-General ' s agreement in writing to the organisation being specified for the purposes of that definition; and (b) arrange for the Leader of the Opposition in the House of Representatives to be briefed in relation to the proposed regulation.
