Are you entitled to a deduction for the cost of repairs to your rental property?
Answer
Yes. Your XX% share of the expenses meet the requirements in Taxation Ruling TR 97/23 and are deductible.

You purchased a XX% share in a property (the property).
Your property has been rented or available for rent at all times since you purchased it.
You received a report stating that repairs were required.
You received a quote for works to the property to complete the necessary repairs.
The works will be carried out.
