Keep your contact details on the Fund Validation Service (FVS) current

You must keep your unique superannuation identifier (USI) details up to date on the Fund Validation Service (FVS).

Published 22 October 2026

Make sure all information on the FVS is current and accurate to manage contributions, avoid processing delays and ensure receipt of FVS alerts.

The FVS alert system is used to advise funds, administrators, service providers and users of the FVS about critical issues that may impact SuperStream contributions and/or processing of rollovers. We issue these alerts to the contact email address listed for each USI on the FVS.

Each USI must also have a nominated and authorised person to verify the financial institution account (FIA) data (i.e. your FIA verification contact).

If there are any changes to the FIA verification contact details, you must submit a Financial institution account verification details template with the updated information through Online services for business.

When updating USI details, a minimum of 14 days notice is mandatory before the new data takes effect. The 14 day rule also applies to manual updates we'll perform if you're unable to use your current FVS provider to update your USI details.

For more detailed information, refer to our Fund Validation Service User Guide.
