The Registrar ' s powers include: (a) such powers as are conferred:
(i) on the Registrar in relation to the functions mentioned in section 1270A ; and
(b) the power to do all things necessary or convenient to be done for or in connection with the performance of those functions.
(ii) by or under this Act; and

Without limiting paragraph (1)(b) , the Registrar ' s powers include the power to authenticate, verify, validate, store, correct, integrate or link information held by the Registrar.
Note: The Registrar must exercise these powers in accordance with the data standards (see sections 1270G and 1270J ).
