How do HELP debts arise?
SECTION 137-19A
Reduction in HELP debts incurred between 1 January and 1 June 2025
137-19A(1)
This section applies if, under a section of this Division, a person incurs a * HELP debt during the period beginning on 1 January 2025 and ending on 1 June 2025.
137-19A(2)
For the purposes of this Act, and despite anything in that section, the amount of the * HELP debt is the amount worked out under that section reduced by 20%.
